Willy Wooly was played by Nick Stewart (a/k/a Nick O'Demus). He also played "Lightning" on the "Amos 'n Andy" TV show in the early fifties. He played in numerous other movies and shows. He did the voice for "Br'er Bear" in Disney's "Song of the South", and founded the "Ebony Theatre" in LA.
