LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - a 1966 film called Billy the Kid versus Dracula. That's right - a western gothic kind of thing. Starring John Carradine as Dracula, Chuck Courtney as William Bonney, alias Billy the Kid. Melinda Plowman as Betty Bentley, the object of Billy's affection, and Dracula too. Both want Miss Bentley to be their bride.

Remember Mrs. Olson from the Folger's TV Commercials? Her real name is Virginia Christine and she plays Eva Oster in this movie - a poor woman who loses her own daughter to Dracula, and then tries to save Betty before it's too late. Break out the wolfbane or wolf's bane, or whatever you call it.

Part one
Intro, color, credits, etc. - I think the title does say it all, Billy the Kid versus Dracula. What more do you need? In this yarn, Billy the kid, William Bonney is a nice fellow who wants to marry Elizabeth Betty Bentley. On a stagecoach, Dracula sees a picture of Betty from her mother. Dracula gets the Indians to kill Betty's mother and her brother, Mr. Underhill a rich Boston Banker. Dracula assumes the identity of the Mr. Underhill and moves in with Betty.

Part two
The poor Osters, Eva and Franz lose their daughter to a fatal bite from a vampire. Now in this movie - they deploy the four bites on the neck. Like top and bottom fangs. Personally, I am more of the two fang mark school. After Eva loses her daughter, she goes to live with Betty and does her best to protect poor Betty.

Part three
But Eva does not do a very good job of protecting poor Betty who gets nicked on the neck by Nosferatu naughty boy John Carradine as Dracula. Billy the Kid is at a loss. Thank goodness the doctor has a clue.

Oh yeah. How could we forget - a vampire has no reflection in a mirror. And finally - Mr. Underhill is recognized by Dr. Henritta Hull as a vampire. She tells the sheriff and Billy that bullets won't do the trick. But they don't listen.

Part five
What's going to happen to poor Betty? Will she become Dracula's mate (yuck) or will Billy and Doc be able to save her in time? You will have to watch the big finale yourself. Don't forget your big wooden stake.

The sheriff has a few questions for the strange new vampire man in town.
